Have finished dinner with Contact A. He's had a busy day successfully signing up several dealers for the "I spy" balisong which he actually calls "Roton." I encouraged considering a new name before product release.
He is redoubling his efforts and hopes to have production availability in August.
300 pieces are planned for the initial production run, so supplies should be good. Unlike the last major introduction of a balisong, this time there might be enough to satisfy The Balisong Collector Himself and still have enough left for everyone else.
As you can really see in these pictures, this new balisong harkens back to the old Bali-Song customs with thick, heavy, steel handles. But, it sports a unique new skeleton pattern including holes in the back of the handle. The latch is reversable and the handles have a latch-gate feature.

The motto for this project is, "What America needs is a good butterfly knife for under a hundred bucks." Well, I couldn't agree more. And, it looks like they're on-track with this one.
