Michael Gettier, yes, the famous Chef
Michael Gettier of Antrim 1844, is actually a serious balisong
collector. His impressive collection includes some outstanding
Bali-Song Customs, Dobruski, Largin, Miller, Erickson, Pabu, Perrin,
and others. While the presentation is sparse, the pictures are
all top-quality. (By the way, he also has another website where
he sells some software he's written for managing production kitchens.
It only costs $19. The average home kitchen doesn't need such
organization. But, here's the neat part: The software comes with
a very extensive collection of Gettier's own original recipes.
The recipe list is well worth $19. Click here for more information.)
Dudley "Dropcloth" Dawkins is a
major balisong collector. I call him "Dropcloth" since
he's famous for using an old painting dropcloth as a background
in his pictures. And pictures he's got -- of some really nice
balisongs. While he specializes in Bali-Song, Pacific Cutlery,
and Benchmade customs, he also shows several Dobruskis and a few
other customs too. It's quite a collection.
Please note that a lot of people like to put picutres of their balisong knives up on various photosharing sites. But, the problem is that these sites tend to sort of come and go. The links here to to display sites that have proven to be long-term stable.
