ST3-X, which was recently sold in The Balisong
Collector's Shameless Commerce Division Sale G,
is another custom Pabu Knife with Devon Thomas
Mokume-Gane handles.  This time, it's tri-color
Mokume-Gane with a twisted-pattern and beautiful,
huge chunks of Mother of Pearl inserts.



The twisted-pattern tri-color Mokume-Gane is
just wonderful.  There is just no other way to
describe this except, "It looks like wood-grain."
Of course, Mokume-Gane means "wood-grain
metal."  So, Mr. Thomas has, in this material,
captured the essence of Mokume-Gane.

Again, let me emphasize that this is not painted
or printed on and this is not a surface finish. The
pattern is part of the metal and it goes all the
way through.  Remember, you can click on the

Notice the wonderful blues, greens, even purples in 
the Mother of Pearl.  The brass screws that hold the 
inserts in are actually custom-made by Pabu Knife.
