The Pabu-style tang pin allows the handles to all but touch when the knife is either open or closed

SVGA XGA SXGA UXGA EDC-1 Wallpaper? That's cool, boy! EDC-1 by Pabu USA For every-day carry, many balisong enthusiasts like the Benchmade 31. It's a good size and fits in a pocket well. But some find the handles just a bit to short for easy manipulation And the blade just a bit short for some tasks. With the Pabu-style flat tang, EDC-1 is 4 7/16 inches (about 11.3 cm) overall closed. The Benchmade 31 is 4 1/4 inches (about 10.8 cm) overall closed. Open, EDC-1 is 7 7/8 inches (about 20 cm) long with 3 1/2 inches (8.9 cm) of blade length using the AKTI protocol. The Benchmade 31 is 7 inches (17.8 cm) long overall with 2 7/8 inches (7.3 cm) of blade length. The Benchmade 31's handles are 4 inches long (10.2cm). The handles on EDC-1 are 4 3/8 inches (11.1cm). The difference in handle length doesn't seem that much. But, for many people, it will be just the extra bit they've wanted. On the scale, there's a huge difference. Benchmade 31 with it's 1/8"-thick blade and skeletonized Titanium handles: 2 3/4 oz. (78g) Pabu EDC-1 with 13/64"-thick blade and brass handles with Damascus inserts: 7.5 oz. (213g)
