The Balisong Quick-Start Guide
It seems like everything comes with a "quick-start guide" these days. So why shouldn't the balisong have one too?
Here we go:
Beginners should not start with a balisong with a double-edged (sharpened on both sides) blade like this Spear point.
Many balisongs like this Benchmade model 42BLK have an unsharpened suggestion of an edge along the spine of the blade; it's called a "swedge." Because the swedge is not sharpened, this type of blade is fine for beginners.
