Three Balisongs By Ralph Turnbull
This beauty has a simple, but mirror-polished blade. The handles are brass with brown Micarta inserts. Again, there's a nice checkering detail on the latch.
I've often said that the balisong design is deceptively simple. It looks very simple, doesn't it? Just a blade, two handles, and a latch. That couldn't be very difficult to make, could it? Many knife makers have been lured in by that seeming simplicity only to discover that for a balisong to work correctly, everything has to fit perfectly. After decades of making them, Mr. Turnbull understands the balisong design. His balisongs close tightly and yet open easily. His latch works perfectly either open or closed.
On this knife, you can see Mr. Turnbull's signature hand-engraved on the blade.
