Yes, this balisong has it all: a pocket clip AND a Pabu-made leather sheath for those who prefer sheath-carry. While the project took the better part of a year, Pabu specifically created Lakandula for the 2005 Oregon Knife Collectors Show April 8-10th in Eugene, Oregon. Those who attended the show got the unique chance to see Lakandula up-close and in-person. At the show, Pabu Knife sold Lakandula to a private collector, a good friend of mine, who has a growing and significant collection of fine knives, especially balisongs. He was kind enough to allow me to exhibit this precious piece here, on The Balisong Collector's Site. Overall length open = 11 inches (28cm) Blade length (AKTI protocol) = 5 3/16" (13.2cm) Overall length closed = 6 3/16" (15.7cm) Weight = 8 ounces (226.8g)
While Lakandula is sold, Pabu Knife is accepting commissions for all types of fine knives including and especially balisong knives. A masterpiece like Lakandula fetches a king's ransom, but Pabu custom balisongs start at about $400. You can see other example's of Pabu's outstanding custom balisongs, both high-art knives and working knives, in my Gallery D. If you would like to commission a custom balisong from Pabu Knife, you should contact Pabu through me using the e-mail link below.
