This is a very large knife. It's about 11 1/4" (28.6cm) long overall open. The blade alone is about 5" (12.7cm) using the AKTI method. Closed, this balisong measures about 6 1/4" (15.9cm) long.

Being all steel (except the amber, of course) it's also heavy, over half a pound. It's 8 1/4 ounces (233.9g).

Knowing that this knife weighs over half a pound allows us now to appreciate how powerful the magnets are. In the next picture, you can see the knife holding itself to the steel door of my safe quite strongly. Believe me, there is no danger of this knife falling.

The magnetic latch does, of course, limit manipulation. But I still like it.
